From a first litter to the Villaverde de la Marina family
Villaverde de la Marina did not begin as a website or a brand. It grew from a passion for the Australian Shepherd and from a project considered and planned over many years.

The first steps
The story of Villaverde de la Marina began approximately seven years ago with Tara, our matriarch, and Zar, from the Palacios de Nora kennel.
Tara came from the Carballera de la Pipa kennel, and with them began a project that already had its sights set on the future.
The first litter arrived even earlier than expected. Nine puppies were born while we were still living in a flat, an experience as intense as it was unforgettable. By the time we finally arrived at Villaverde de la Marina, those puppies were already three months old.
From that first stage we kept five females, gradually beginning to build our own line.

Building our own line
Over the years, new generations, new breeding dogs and new families arrived.
One of the project’s most important moments came with Tesa and Joselu. Their first litter marked a turning point for Villaverde de la Marina because both the sire and the dam had been born here under our kennel name.
It is the result of years of selection, experience and planning, and the beginning of a line we can consider entirely our own.

A family that keeps growing
Today Villaverde de la Marina brings together more than one hundred families, not only in Spain but also in other European countries and in Mexico.
Our philosophy remains the same as it was at the beginning: transparency, clarity and personal support.
For us, placing a puppy does not mean ending a relationship. We want to keep hearing about our dogs, support their families and stay in touch throughout their lives.
Because Villaverde de la Marina is not intended to be merely a kennel. We want it to be one large family united by the same passion: the Australian Shepherd.
